Quickest on paper. You ride through most of the weather.
Ride the driest line.
DryRide scores every Apple MapKit route against WeatherKit rain and wind, then keeps checking as you ride — switching to the least-wet path the moment a drier one opens up.

Fastest isn't driest.
The quickest route on the map is rarely the one that keeps you dry. DryRide does the maths on every option so you can trade a few minutes for a lot less rain.
13 extra minutes. Nine fewer miles in the wet.
Every route, scored for rain.
Before you set off, DryRide lays out MapKit alternatives with time, distance, rain severity, wet-road distance and when the first shower lands — so the driest practical line is obvious.
| Route | Time | Distance | Rain | Wet road | First rain |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Driest RideRecommended | 1 hr 24 min | 68 mi | Light | 6.4 mi | in 18 min |
| Fastest | 1 hr 11 min | 62 mi | Moderate | 15.2 mi | in 11 min |
| Shortest | 1 hr 18 min | 57 mi | Moderate | 13.7 mi | in 14 min |
Times include current traffic. Forecasts refresh as you ride and when rain ahead changes.

Forecasts can change. Always use your own judgment and ride to the conditions.
Before you download.
Short answers for riders deciding whether adaptive driest-route guidance fits how they ride.
When can I download DryRide?
The iPhone app has been built and is being prepared for App Store release. The download link will be added here as soon as it is live.
Is it only for iPhone?
Yes. The first version is built for iPhone and uses Apple MapKit and WeatherKit for route and forecast data.
Does DryRide reroute while I'm riding?
Yes. While guidance is active, DryRide runs adaptive rain checks from your current position using Apple WeatherKit data — including wind direction. If a meaningfully drier route opens up, it alerts you and can switch to the least-wet path. Pull over safely before changing routes or using map controls.
Does DryRide replace checking the weather yourself?
No. DryRide is a planning and guidance aid. Forecasts can change, so riders still need to review the route and ride to the conditions they encounter.
Do I need an account?
No. DryRide is designed as a focused planning utility with no account, no ads, and no tracking.
DryRide is heading to the App Store.
The iPhone app is built. The download link drops here the moment it goes live.
